Interested in Volunteering?
We'd be thrilled to have you as part of our growing SEAPORT Beerfest team! It's our goal to provide a fun and educational environment for people to experience great beers and ciders, but we need your help to do it. If you're friendly, outgoing and interested in participating, here's what you need to know:
Volunteer Benefits:
We will provide you with a festival t-shirt, complimentary beerfest ticket, 1 food coupon, and a guaranteed good time!
Requirements:
All volunteers must be a minimum of 19 years of age to volunteer. No detailed beer knowledge is required, just a sense of adventure and great attitude. All volunteers are asked to attend a training session Thursday evening, August 12th, 2010 (time & date to be confirmed).
T-Shirt/Clothing:
Your souvenir t-shirt identifies you as a volunteer and you must wear it at all times when on shift. You will receive it when you check in at the beginning of your shift.
Attendance/Check-In:
We count on your presence and your prompt arrival for your scheduled shift - please check-in at least 15 minutes prior to your shift start time. If your schedule changes, please contact us immediately!
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of volunteers vary on need - setting-up, ticket sales, handing out programs and cups, sampling beers, etc. Overall though, volunteers are there to offer assistance and information to patrons and brewers alike so please be courteous and help make it a positive experience for all participants.
On-Duty Rules:
Volunteers may not (under any circumstances) over indulge. Over indulgence on site (or the appearance or suggestion of over indulgence) would result in immediate removal from the event. As a SEAPORT Beerfest volunteer, we expect you to adhere to all rules & regulations while representing the event at the highest possible standard so if you sample, sample conservatively.
